There is no doubt 2022 is the year BMW goes mainstream electric, and that includes Australia - this is the newest entry into the EV stable for the brand - the 2022 BMW i4.

Based on the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe but replacing all the petrol bits with electric power and a big battery pack, the new model attracts a bit of a price premium over other versions of the BMW 4er - but it makes up for that with exclusitivity, different appeal and some striking design elements.

Our very own Tung Nguyen spent some time in the BMW i4 in Ireland ahead of the car's local launch in Australia later in 2022, and he came away largely impressed with the manners, tech and driving experience in the new electric car.
