A bit of history about the Maxima:

The Maxima has been made since 1980. This is the 8th generation of the Maxima and this version has been made since 2015.

Under the hood:

Drivetrain: Front Wheel Drive
Engine: 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine
Transmission: Continuously variable valve timing control system (CVTCS)
Horsepower: 300 hp @ 6,400 rpm
0 to 60: Approximately 5.7 with top speed of 133 mph for the Platinum Trim. Stats not readily available for the SV trim reviewed here.

Fuel Type: Gas Regular Unleaded
MPG City: 20 mpg
MPG Highway: 30 mpg
Combined MPG: 24 mpg
Fuel Cap Location:
Fuel Tank Capacity: 18 gallons

Handling:
Turning at slow speeds: Fantastic. Parking is a breeze.

Turning at high speeds: Excellent, I felt super comfortable going around turns at high speeds. The Maxima handles extremely well.

Acceleration:
From a stop: It's pretty fun. You won't be the fastest car on the road, but the Maxima's engine is loud enough to make you feel like you might be.

While moving: Great. There's about a 1 second delay from the time you push the accelerator to when the car reacts, but it's not bad. And I was able to pass cars on the road easily, so I was happy.

Cabin Noise:
Great. At low and high speeds I barely heard what was going on outside and I never had to increase the volume on the radio to hear what was bein said. Impressive for a car under $40k
