9.24.22 | 4:05 AM | SB I-5 & Jamboree Rd | Irvine, CA

An 18-wheeler carrying "shipping items" was involved in a multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on I-5 South of Jamboree Rd in the city of Irvine. The semi-truck struck the center divider and later became engulfed in flames as first responders arrived at the scene.

A white Nissan Quest and a black Nissan Versa were also involved in the collision. The driver of the semi-truck was taken to the hospital along with an additional victim. Sadly, 1 individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
