Antivirus software creator John McAfee, who was found dead in a Spanish prison Wednesday from apparent suicide, once lived in Portland, on the run from police in Belize.

During a 2013 interview with then-KATU reporter Emily Sinovic, McAfee said his “life is sort of weird. I don’t back off from things. I think that’s why.”
