Rebecca Evans was first elected to the National Assembly for Wales in May 2011 to represent the Mid and West Wales region. In 2016 she became Assembly Member for Gower.

Rebecca received a degree in History from the University of Leeds, and a Master of Philosophy degree in Historical Studies from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge. Before being elected, Rebecca worked in the third sector.

Rebecca has served on the National Assembly for Wales’ Environment and Sustainable Development Committee and its Common Agricultural Policy Task and Finish Group. She has also served on the Health and Social Care Committee, and the Children, Young People and Education Committee.

In June 2014, Rebecca was appointed Deputy Minister for Farming and Food, and in May 2016 she became Minister for Social Services and Public Health. In November 2017, she was appointed Minister for Housing and Regeneration, and in December 2018 she joined the Cabinet as Minister for Finance and Trefnydd. On 13 May 2021 Rebecca was appointed Minister for Finance and Local Government.

Cafodd Rebecca Evans ei hethol i Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru am y tro cyntaf ym mis Mai 2011 i gynrychioli rhanbarth Canolbarth a Gorllewin Cymru. Yn 2016, cafodd ei hethol yn Aelod Cynulliad ar gyfer etholaeth Gŵyr.

Enillodd Rebecca radd mewn Hanes gan Brifysgol Leeds, a gradd MPhil mewn Astudiaethau Hanesyddol gan Goleg Sidney Sussex, Prifysgol Caergrawnt. Cyn iddi gael ei hethol, bu Rebecca yn gweithio yn y trydydd sector.

Yn y Cynulliad Cenedlaethol, mae Rebecca wedi gwasanaethu ar Bwyllgor yr Amgylchedd a Datblygu Cynaliadwy a’r Grŵp Gorchwyl a Gorffen ar y Polisi Amaethyddol Cyffredin. Mae hi hefyd wedi gwasanaethu ar y Pwyllgor Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol a’r Pwyllgor Plant, Pobl Ifanc ac Addysg.

Ym mis Mehefin 2014, cafodd Rebecca ei phenodi’n Ddirprwy Weinidog Ffermio a Bwyd, ac ym mis Mai 2016 daeth yn Weinidog Iechyd y Cyhoedd a Gwasanaethau Cymdeithasol. Ym mis Tachwedd 2017, cafodd ei phenodi’n Weinidog Tai ac Adfywio, ac ym mis Rhagfyr 2018 ymunodd â’r Cabinet fel Gweinidog Cyllid a Threfnydd. Penodwyd Rebecca yn Gweinidog Cyllid a Llywodraeth Leol ar 13 Mai 2021.
