Tons of kids all over the world were excited to see “Frozen 2,” and who am I kidding, so were tons of grownups! It had a surprisingly somber tone and some hidden jokes that definitely didn’t seem appropriate for kids. Parents loved these adult moments but some of them might have gone a bit too far. We’ll talk about some of the hidden jokes that likely sailed over the heads of a lot of children in the audience. Elsa and Anna are beloved princesses but this chapter in their story was actually really depressing! Then there’s the strange relationship between Sven and Kristoff and the part where we learned way too much about Anna’s dating preferences and that she likes to see her man in a leather outfit. That is, when he isn’t talking about how much he prefers reindeer which is a whole other can of worms! Our favorite talking snowman is a cheerful guy but some of Olaf’s songs were downright depressing.
