A Q&A with actor Kelvin Harrison Jr. of CYRANO. Moderated by Jenelle Riley, Variety.

From award-winning director Joe Wright comes a lush, musical retelling of the timeless tale of Cyrano de Bergerac. Set against a baroque cityscape, CYRANO is a symphony of romance and beauty that belies a heartbreaking love triangle. Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage) can dazzle with wordplay and swordplay but convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of love, he refuses to declare his feelings for his cherished friend Roxanne (Haley Bennett). When Roxanne falls in love at first sight with another, Cyrano – resigned to never being more than friends – instead devotes himself to helping her new suitor find the right words to win her heart. Co-starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Ben Mendelsohn and Bashir Salahuddin, CYRANO is a tale of seeking connection, compassion and love. CYRANO is written by Erica Schmidt, adapted from her own stage play. The score for the film was written by Bryce and Aaron Dessner of The National, with songs from the Dessners, Matt Berninger and Carin Besser.
