“Friends” remains one of the most loved and viewed sitcoms in all of TV. The combination of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey was so synergetic that the fun they had on set often made it to screen for audiences to enjoy. From dancing in the fountain to Joey’s famous, “How You Doin’” line, there is a lot to love about this show. In this video we’ll be looking at all the unscripted and improvised moments that made the final cut- and trust us… there are a lot of them!

With the show being filmed in front of a live-studio audience, there were plenty of opportunities to make mistakes that made the audiences howl and many of these were used in the final takes. It was also helpful because if comedic lines didn’t land, the writers and actors were able to come up with something else on the spot and workshop lines until they worked.
