Matterhorn Bobsleds Classic Roller Coaster Attraction Both Sides POV at the Disneyland Resort in California shot in 4K 60FPS! Matterhorn Bobsleds is a classic Disneyland Roller Coaster that is not only the first tubular steel roller coaster to ever be built, but Matterhorn Bobsleds is also the first Roller Coaster in the World to use a block section system! A block section system has a series of "blocks" along a track that allows an attraction to run multiple cars on one track instead of having one car on the track and another waiting in the station. The Matterhorn Mountain in Switzerland was the inspiration for the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction. While filming a movie on the Matterhorn, Walt Disney apparently sent a postcard of the Matterhorn Mountain back to Imagineers with nothing but two words, "Build this". The Matterhorn Bobsleds is a must-do attraction for anyone visiting the Disneyland Resort, however, the experience may not be for everyone. Due to the Matterhorn Bobsleds being built before the mainstream creation of roller coasters, roller coaster track design was not fully understood until years down the line. Imagineers who worked at the attraction essentially had to guess how to build a Roller Coaster which is one of the reasons why the Attraction has an infamous reputation for its overly jerky experience. Be sure you and everyone in your party are in good condition before riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds at the Disneyland Resort in California.
