HWD Hospital Radio is an Award-winning Radio station charity servicing The patients and staff of Dewsbury & District Hospital in West Yorkshire.

From 6pm, Friday 6th March, to 6pm Sunday 8th March 2015, HWD Hospital Radio will be hosting its Annual 48hr Sponsored Broadcast to raise money for its upkeep, including studio maintenance, broadcasting admin, and operating costs. Sounds a bit dry, I know, but we do these things to keep the lights on!!

The station broadcasts 24 hours a day; however, throughout the night, the system is automated. Not for this weekend! For this weekend in March, there will be at least one of our fantastic presenters on air at all times, hosting special shows.

Presenter Leonard Sultana will be on air on Friday night/Saturday morning, from 2am till 5am, bringing an extra special version of his Sunday show, including an hour of Acoustic Sessions, a variation of The Sounds Of The Silver Screen - Sounds From The SMALL Screen! - and The Best Album In The World... Ever!, telling the story and selecting tracks from a classic album, chosen for this show by the person who donates the most amount of money to Leonard's fundraising.
