The original Matrix made the Wachowskis some of the most famous writer-directors across our entire simulation. With 2015's Jupiter Ascending they tried to recapture the essence of the Matrix through a very similar storytelling method -- worldbuilding. The movie starred very in-demand actors like Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum and packed pretty amazing visuals as well, but ultimately ended up becoming yet another box office flop that lost around a 100 million dollars.
