I got an insane opportunity recently to check out the 2021 Mercedes AMG #GT53 & boy was I blown away. (WARNING: No test drive due to liability reasons!!) Its 3.0L inline 6-cylinder pumps out 429hp, and catapults the four door coupe to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds. A quartet of cars comprise the GT lineup: the new-for-2021 #GT43 ($90,950 w/ 362hp), the GT53 ($101,000 w/ 429hp), the #GT63 ($142,650 w/ a V8 & 577hp) and the top dog #GT63S ($163,950 w/ a V8 & 630hp) - the GT63S rockets to 60 in a mind boggling 2.9 seconds (Car & Driver stats, Mercedes quotes 3.1 seconds). There isn’t a bad choice in the GT lineup, with 4MATIC standard across all models. AMG has stuffed this car with sporty brakes, suspension, fat wheels, large 21” AMG-forged cross spoke black rims...and so much more. On the inside, room for just 4, because after all it is a “coupe” — lots of tech, an overwhelming amount of options in the impressive #MBUX infotainment system, massage seats, carbon fiber everywhere...it’s a dream!
