A boozy, fluffy version of egg nog that deserves your best stemware! We make this family recipe every holiday season, and we're happy to share it with you. Cheers, from our homemade house to yours đź’—

🎄 GRANDADDY'S EGG NOG
Serves 4 (multiply quantities for a crowd!)

INGREDIENTS
3 large egg yolks
3 Tbs granulated sugar
1/2 cup whiskey
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg (ground is also fine)

-Separate eggs, Set whites aside.
-Beat egg yolks on high until they are light and frothy.
-On medium speed, add sugar VERY SLOWLY, 1 Tbs at a time, then wait 45 seconds to a minute before adding the next Tbs. Repeat until all sugar is thoroughly mixed.
-On medium speed, add Bourbon VERY SLOWLY, 1 Tbs at a time, then wait 45 seconds to a minute before adding the next Tbs. Repeat until Bourbon is thoroughly mixed.
-Add milk, heavy cream and a pinch of salt, beat until combined.
-Set yolk mixture aside.
-On high speed, beat egg whites until they form stiff, wet peaks. (lift beater, and when the whites stand up with a slight bend at the tip, you’re all set.)
-Gently fold whites into yolk mixture a little bit at a time, until Nog is light and smooth.
-Pour or ladle into glass.
-Finish with grated nutmeg
