Myanmar’s civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi was remanded in custody for a further two days on Monday as the military warned anti-coup protesters that they could face up to 20 years in prison for obstructing the armed forces.
Protesters celebrated one small win though when a police and army raid on the Yangon headquarters of Myanmar's deposed ruling party ended with security forces being unable to gain access to the building.
