Child sex trafficking is a form of child abuse that occurs when a child under 18 is advertised, solicited or exploited through a commercial sex act.

Traffickers target vulnerable communities and exploit Swati girls, particularly orphans, in sex trafficking and domestic servitude, primarily in Eswatini and South Africa. Some Swati girls in forced domestic work are physically and sexually abused by their employers. Sex traffickers exploit orphaned Swati girls in “survival sex” in exchange for food and money. WVE's campaign ambassador Mbongiseni "Bholoja" Ngubane had the chance to raise awareness and educate Hilton Garden Inn employees about the importance of reporting any suspicion they might have about sex trafficking in their working environment.
