Our history begins in 1953, when Bill Buerkle purchased Fairmont Buick and began selling the brand's upscale, chrome-laden cars during the era of tailfins and doo-wop. By 1957, Fairmont Buick was sold and St. Paul Buick was purchased, with the name quickly being changed to Buerkle Buick. As the 1960s unfolded, the Buerkle name became synonymous with fair pricing, great selection and an unmatched commitment to customer service.


In 1969, after 12 years of success selling now-classic models like the Buick Riviera, Wildcat and Skylark, Bill moved the Buick franchise to White Bear Lake. A few years later, in 1973, he opened a franchise for a curious nameplate that, at the time, was known largely for its motorcycles: Honda.
