This is is a tutorial on how to grow a Chestnut tree from seed, step by step. The kind of chestnut tree in this video is a European sweet chestnut tree. This kind of tree has incredible fruit that is is very sweet and full of nutrients, wildlife loves these trees! This tree is deciduous and grows nice and tall developing a fantastic canopy.

Truly a blessing I was able to find this tree considering the horrible reality of the Chestnut blight fungus and the European chestnut is also prone to dying from it like the American chestnut tree.

After germination, you should see sprouts rather quickly after planting, I would say the first couple weeks. Leaves should form rather quickly with the stem and within the first month you should have a small chestnut sapling with multiple leaves.

After a couple months, I would suggest transplanting into a larger pot say 6 inches wide by 8 inches deep and keeping the soil watered regularly to ensure the best results. Any other question drop them below in the comments!
