He’s the soft spoken murder machine that just wanted to live a life of domestic bliss with the love of his life Helen. Disease did his wife in, but a scion of a Russian gang got a hankering for his classic Mustang, couldn’t take no for an answer, stole the car, and for good measure also killed the puppy that was the last gift from his beloved Helen. And just like that cinema has a new favorite hitman in John Wick. It’s not just the Hong Kong style action ballet that has made Wick a favorite, but the complex world of assassins and criminals it takes place in. Most of that is highlighted through The Continental, a hotel where visiting assassins and criminals of discerning tastes can go and be free from other sinister folk doing their sinister deeds. There’s the gold coin currency they exchange. And the hierarchy of the High Table and the Elder. Wick has gone from puppy lovers dealing with grief to super angry slightly larger puppy lover whose teaming up with the Bowery King to take down the High Table. While Chapter 4 has yet to hit theaters the persistent moral is: Do not double cross John Wick. His former employer Viggo tries it, an aspiring High Table member Santino tries it…even Winston, caretaker of the Continental, took a swing at double crossing Wick after Wick single handedly fended off squad of people meant to kill Winston. Then there’s the issue of Derek Kolstad’s other creation, Hutch Mansell of the movie Nobody. So what is the timeline of the assassin everyone should have let retire? Well, we’ll tell you. Do you want to see Hutch and Wick team up? Let us know in the comments and while you’re there be sure to like and subscribe for the latest videos in your inbox.
