Zamasu learns of the Time Rings earlier on, curious as to why there are others. This begins a chain of events where he begins researching Universe 7, following the defeat of Majin Buu. Angered by this, Zamasu realizes he needs to do something about these mortals. Although, things don't go exactly as he wanted.
