Topics: A student of the Sahaba, a Tabioon once said: "I seek refuge from Allah from being asleep on the night Jibril visits me," referring to the night of Laylatul Qadir.

Allah subhana Wata'ala himself has sworn and taken a Qasm (oath) upon these final ten nights.

The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.S) would:
-Tighten his belt (physically and metaphorically)
-Stay awake the whole night (only time in the year he'd do this) in dhikr, Qur'an, tilawah, du'a, salah
-Awaken the family
-Exerted himself more than any other time in the year

Laylatul Qadr means:
a) Importance - the night is blessed
b) Person who worships Allah becomes blessed, rank raised and dignified
c) Night of constriction and narrowness - angels fill up all space when they come down, including Angel Jibril (a.s.)
d) Pre-destination (Qadr) - Allah announces the Qadr for the next year (forgivness, birth, trials, blessings, etc)

What can we do on these nights?
a) Increase in every action of I'bada (no new actions)
b) Du'as (including Allahumma Innaka A'fuwun Tuhibbul Af'wa fa'fu anna")

"Nothing changes Qadr except for Du'a" said Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s)
