Amazon has deployed more than 750,000 mobile robots in its operations and thousands of other robotic systems that help move, sort, identify and package customer orders. All manufactured by Amazon and built in the state of Massachusetts. It’s taken Amazon more than 10 years to reach this scale. Amazon takes a purpose-driven approach to how it designs and deploys technology at its facilities and prioritizes using robots to support safety and ease everyday tasks for its employees. During that time, people always remain at the center of a robotic universe as the company has hired hundreds of thousands of employees to work in its operations.
