Mushaira is a poetic symposium. It is an event where poets gather to perform their works. A mushaira is part of the Culture of North India, Pakistan and the Deccan, particularly among the Hyderabadi Muslims, and it regarded as a forum for free self-expression.

मुशायरा, उर्दु भाषा की एक काव्य गोष्ठी है। मुशायरा शब्द हिन्दी में उर्दू से आया है और यह उस महफ़िल की व्याख्या करता है जिसमें विभिन्न शायर शिरकत कर अपना अपना काव्य पाठ करते हैं।

Kavi Sammelan is a gathering of poets in the Hindi Belt of northern India. The participants recite their poetry to each other and have a general discussion on literary issues. This may take place among the poets but is mostly done before an audience.

कवि सम्मेलन हिंदी कवियों के काव्यपाठ का आयोजन है। जो पिछले 100 वर्षों की परंपरा है । यह साहित्य की संस्कृति भी है । यह संस्कृति वर्तमान में अलग अलग रूपों में देखने को मिल रही है । वर्तमान में तमाम शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से लगाकर थिएटर में सार्वजनिक एवं व्यक्तिगत तौर पर कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाने लगे है ।
