Today’s video takes a look at another E-Type rescue mission that I went on this Summer to save this 1965 OTS Roadster. This car had been sitting on an open car-hauler trailer, outdoors, for a LONG time…. This took place a few months ago, and during that time we have now found the car a new home and I also took a couple minutes of footage of the car being dropped off at her new home.

Due to the overall situation/status of the car and how and where it was stored - AND the weather that day (we started at 9 AM but it was a 100-degree, 100% humidity day in July…), this is the hardest I have had to physically work to get one from where it is, into the trailer. And make no mistake - there have been some really tough ones in the past before this one! But that heat and humidity was really oppressive, and it took me a couple of days to recover from this one. If you want to get the real feel for this one, watch it in a sauna... :-)

But all is well that ends well - we rescued the car and let’s face it - I LOVE this stuff! I’m also happy to report that she is now in the hands of a good, new owner who has had several E-Types in the past, but never the Series 1 roadster that they always wanted. The restoration is already well underway, and we will be supplying all of the panels necessary to get the job done - as well as “free tech support for life” - which you always get when you buy an E-Type project from Monocoque Metalworks!

This video makes the job look easy - it was not! But amidst all of the sweating and chaos, I did make sure to stop every once and a while and get some film so you guys could come along for the ride. Enjoy! :-)

P.S. I just picked up ANOTHER one last week - a 1966 FHC (coupe) - AND - two more are on the way later this Fall! - a 1963 FHC (coupe), and a 1965 OTS (roadster). All three are complete, numbers-matching, Series 1 E-Types that are looking for good, new homes! Call if you are interested!
