Surprising Actors You Forgot Were In Batman Movies

What do Neil Patrick Harris, Drew Barrymore, Joffrey Baratheon, and Mariah Carey have in common? Batman, of course! Countless household-name actors have played lead roles, voiced animated characters, or shared short cameos in one of the more than seventy Batman films produced over the last half-century... only to be forgotten or overshadowed by more high-profile performances. At least they didn’t end up locked up in Arkham Asylum... probably.

Let’s be real though: everyone from underappreciated actors like Brian George to polymath performers playing minor roles (here’s to you, Michael Jai White,) get lost in the crowded cast lists of the Batman film franchise. It’s easy to see why: even though a lot Batman’s best cast members pop to mind immediately (R.I.P. Heath Ledger).. Given that they’re up against a playing field populated by stars like Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine and, of course, Arnold “Ice To Meet You” Schwarzenegger, it’s not too surprising that a ton of the most talented other cast members have faded into the background or been forgotten outright.

A ton of those performers overlooked for their contribution to the Batman canon are the kind of actors and celebs you’d never guess would have done anything remotely related to the caped crusader and his fight for justice and rooftop brooding. So, from voice-acting cameos to live-action performances, we’re counting down fifteen of the actors (and celebrities) you totally forgot made their way into a Batman movie.
