Roger spotted a neglected and dry Yucca houseplant in an office and offered to try and revive it back to full health.
Although houseplant Yuccas can tolerate being dry for a few weeks (maybe even a month or two in winter) being left for several months in summer has taken its toll on this Yucca, with lots of dead deaves ... but a few green shoots still visible to show that their is still hope for the young plant.
Roger trims off all the dead leaves and gives the plant a good water, this will be followed up with some liquid fertilizer and more regular watering checks.
As a general rule (when people ask 'how often should I water this houseplant) we would say regular checking the soil moisture (simply by pressing your finger tip into the soil surface to see if it is moist) maybe every week or so, if the soil is still damp it probably doesn't need watering. If it feels dry to the touch add some water but don't leave the plant stood in a saucer of water for more than an hour or two as they can become too wet.
