Hello friends,
Water is precious, save it.
In this video a Wireless Water level and pump controller is shown. The whole project is divided in four video parts. The device is based on Arduino Nano and nRF24L01 PA + LNA module. This device has Range of 1KM in Line of sight (LOS) and 500M in Radio LOS. It works in 2.4GHz ISM Band.

There are so many videos online on water level controller, but this is bit different from all those. You might think how it's different?
The total equipment consists of main three parts.
1. Ground control unit.
2. Overhead probe unit.
3. Probe level unit.
Ground control unit (GCU) is placed in ground floor, near to kitchen or work area. Ground control unit acts like a receiver unit. It receives data from Overhead probe unit wirelessly. If the building is tall and the overhead water tank is not easily accessible, then to know the level of water in the tank, is bit,
hard, you have to go all the way to the top to know the level of water present in the tank. An LCD is provided in Ground control unit, AC input voltage, Over and Under Voltage, Tx signal confirmation, Pump ON/OFF status, Alarm ON/OFF display and Water level is shown in this.
Other than this 5 LED indication is also given to show the water level present in the water tank.
A Two-way Pump switching is given in this device, we can Switch ON/OFF the pump from the Ground control unit (GCU) and from the Overhead probe unit (OPU).
If we switch ON the pump from GCU, we can switch it OFF from OPU and vice-versa. E.g. If we are alone and we are on top of the building to clean the Overhead water tank, after cleaning, there is no need to come all the way down and switch ON the pump and then go all the way UP to see whether the pumping is in progress. We can simply switch ON the Pump from OPU and check the pumping progress and come down switch it OFF, if we want it do manually, Otherwise the whole system is automatic, it will switch ON and OFF if the water is LOW and HIGH respectively. 2HP Centrifugal Pumps or Submersible Pumps can be used with this device.
This device is really going to help us.
Overhead Probe Unit (OPU) is mounted on the top of the building. This unit acts like a Transmitter, although both units are Transceiver, both units can transmit and receive. The OPU collects Water level samples from the Probe Unit which is in water Tank. These water level samples are amplified and transmitted to the GCU. 5 LED indication are provided to know the water level and one switch to ON/OFF the Pump from the Top of the building. OPU and Probe unit is connected with help of all-weather proof 6 core shielded wire, with X16 Male 6 Pin Metal aviation connectors.
Probe Unit is made of 1/2-inch UPVC pipe and connectors. Non-Corrosive Metal probe with plastic casing is mounted in equal distance on the UPVC pipe. Wires of each probe is connected to the X16 Female 6 Pin Metal Aviation Socket. Sockets are dust and moisture proof which helps to avoid false reading in high humidity conditions. It's a self-standing probe unit, it has a Heavy Base made of PoP, so it can stand intact in high water pressure.
