Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co., and one of the best known CEOs in the world, is widely hailed for having successfully shepherded JPMorgan through the worst of the financial crisis—and in far better shape than its major rivals. Dimon, the longest-tenured CEO among major U.S. banks, has also faced his share of criticism, such as when the company suffered billions in losses for the so-called “London Whale” trading incident.

Through it all, Dimon has exhibited tremendous resilience, which is a hallmark of his leadership. In a candid interview with William J. Ferguson of Ferguson Partners Ltd., Dimon shares his reflections on leading through crises, and the importance of resilience for leaders and their organizations.

This 2014 ULI Fall Meeting session is introduced by Edward C. Forst, president and chief executive officer of Cushman & Wakefield.
