In this webinar, the presenters provide guidance for investigators expecting to share data from qualitative and mixed methods research based on the data submissions to the National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program (NAHDAP), a data archive at ICPSR. NAHDAP facilitates research on drug addiction and HIV infection by acquiring, enhancing, preserving, and sharing data produced by research grants, particularly those funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The NAHDAP data archive team has worked with various investigators to share their data with the larger research community, including sensitive data, so it can be accessed safely and securely. The NAHDAP team has supported the sharing of qualitative and mixed-method data which requires careful balancing of confidentiality with data utility and making use of various controlled access methods. The presenters will provide information about helpful practices and considerations when planning to archive qualitative data.

This webinar will be most useful for researchers who expect to archive data from qualitative or mixed-method studies.

This webinar was recorded with a live audience in October 2023.
