The ICME West Midlands, Birmingham and Coventry Branch gathered on Monday 6th February 2023 to celebrate the achievements of some of the apprentices on the metal casting, foundry and patternmaking apprenticeship at the ECMS, National Foundry Training Centre.
The presentation was given by apprentices from Alucast plus Dennis Hewitt from Lestercast who talked about his experience as the first student to complete a foundry apprenticeship for 20 years in the UK. The audience also heard from the tutors who are helping to prepare them for their careers in the industry.
