Hello, welcome to:
Flavors of Spain;
In the Southwest.

On this occasion I want to show you how to make Serrano ham tapas with a kick!

This is what you need:

1 pkg. Serrano ham sliced (Look for it on Amazon)
2 ea. Jalapeño peppers
1 ea. Large black olives (6 oz. can)
1 ea. Rustic baguette (sliced and toasted)
⅔ cup Mayonnaise
1 Tbs. Lemon juice
½ ea. Garlic clove
½ oz. E. V. O. O.
Salt

For the Alioli:
Grind garlic clove on the teeth of a fork
Add garlic to Mayo
Add lemon juice, olive oil and salt and mix until well combined

Slice jalapeno peppers into ¼ “ slices
Add a little bit of water and microwave them at high for 20 to 30 seconds
This will brighten the color and decrease the heat
Slather toasted baguette with Alioli
Place a slice of Serrano ham on top of toasted baguette
Add a slice of jalapeño over the ham
Top with a skewered black olive (bamboo skewers work well)
Repeat
Enjoy!
