A quick video showing how to replace the batteries in the FOB for our 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ.

Our FOB is made by TRW and has the following Chrysler part#: 56036859 [AD]

I believe this video will be relevant on 1999-2001 Cherokee XJ models and 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees that use the same style FOB. This video is for reference, please inspect your FOB and confirm the battery or batteries inside before purchasing the replacements.

Our FOB uses (2) CR2016 batteries stacked in series. In the video I use a multimeter to show how the batteries in series double the voltage of a single CR2016 battery.
