During the latest Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) event, engineers from GreenSight conducted the first flight of the WeatherHive swarming meteorological measurement system’s uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) emerging from its portable “hive” canister ... The drone ascended to over 1,000 meters while collecting weather data. The WeatherHive's canister is designed to contain up to 10 UAVs that when launched work together as a swarm.
