My short film is named “Dream State”, it is based upon two major problems in today’s society. These being mental health and domestic violence, it will aim to show the mental effects it has on teens. Each are issues which I believe need to be brought to people’s attention. My film will showcase the effects of these issues for a teenage boy, in his day to day life. Additionally, showing how some teens create an escape in their mind that gets them away from these real issues in their life. This is where the name of the short film name comes from “Dream State”. In this state, the boy has the opportunity to defend himself in a number of situations that he is placed in, with skills he never knew he had.
