From Building Bridges: BCTC's Second Annual Virtual LGBTQ+ Conference

People are not posing or pretending. Gender identity is an integral part of every person's identity. This session will present issues that affect Transgender students in the classroom. Learn how to make your class a safe space for all to learn and grow. This workshop will also review the following: The importance of using inclusive language and avoiding microaggressions, incorporating pronouns and lived name policies within campus culture, and gaining an understanding of the experiences of transgender college students in Kentucky.
