Meet Hamid Ibrahim, Herts alumnus and Co-Founder and CEO of Kugali Media. Hamid has collaborated with Walt Disney Studios to produce the first African sci-fi animated series called Iwájú; this is the first time that Disney has ever partnered with another media company. Set for release on Disney+ in Summer 2024, Iwájú's futuristic story takes place in Lagos, Nigeria and addresses themes such as social inequalities and challenging the status quo. Reflecting on his 3D Animation and Modelling course at Herts, Hamid laments “The degree at Herts allowed me to realise my full potential”.
