If you're new to bjj or have been around for a long time we hope this video is helpful. When you join a jiu-jitsu gym there will be a culture to that academy to get used to and understand. Many academies adhere to similar principles and unspoken rules. It's helpful to know them. If there is not a written set of rules for your particular bjj school it might be helpful to ask the instructors and senior students for their guidance and help understanding what is acceptable and expected in your academy.
