I can't remember the last time I used a mechanical keyboard. Maybe I was 8 or 10 years old. I totally forgot about the difference in typing experience and I need to get used to it, since I've been using short travel keyboards like the Apple Magic lineup for the majority of my life.

Now, I feel like an absolute noob at typing. However, my experience with the MODE Sonnet has been unbelievably good.

I wish you could feel how heavy it is. I haven't weighed it, but I guess it's around 2kg 😅 Insane. The build quality, the design, and the customizability... I have no words to describe how good this is.

However, I just discovered that there's no actual way to set the functions keys to replicate the behavior of Apple's keyboards, other than using shortcuts with apps like Spark.

This is bad for my workflow since I use the volume keys quite a lot, but I'll have to try it out and understand how it works first. Do you know any other method? Let me know in the comments 🙏
