Beef & Broccoli. One of the most popular dishes at NYC Chinese restaurants.

Steak:
1 lb flank steak, cut into strips
2 tsp smoked paprika
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp olive oil (1 tbsp for marinade and 1 tbsp for searing)
1 tsp baking soda

Sauce:
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 tsp ginger, minced
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 cup chicken stock or beef stock (divided into two)
1/2 cup soy sauce (I used reduced sodium soy sauce)
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch


Broccoli:
3 cups broccoli florets
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp sesame oil
