This Happens to You When You are Close to Allah | @EverlastingNur
Seeking Closeness to Allah and Its Benefits
The pursuit of closeness to Allah (SWT) is a fundamental human need, as stated in the Quran: “...for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.” (Surah Al-Rad, 13:28). Striving towards this closeness can bring healing to our inner turmoil and lead to:
Allah's love, Increased productivity, Confidence, Satisfaction and joy
To achieve this closeness, it is crucial to:
Have a strong intention ,Practice patience, Maintain consistency, Avoid inaction
Reflecting on our worth to Allah involves examining our actions. Are we pleasing or disappointing Him? Seeking closeness to Allah signifies His desire for us to remember Him. Productivity is highly valued in Islam, and seeking beneficial knowledge is seen as a sign of Allah's mercy.

A Hadith shared by Abu Huraira (RA) quotes the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) conveying Allah's closeness to His servants based on their remembrance of Him. This closeness is reciprocated in various ways, emphasizing the importance of striving toward Allah.

Struggling in this journey is essential, as the greater the effort, the more rewarding the outcome. Getting closer to Allah is a gradual process that requires trust in His plans for this life and the hereafter.

Mufti Ismail ibn Musa Menk is a Zimbabwean Islamic scholar of Indian origin. He is the Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe's Muslim community, which makes up roughly 1% of the country's total population, and head of the fatwa department for the Council of Islamic Scholars of Zimbabwe.

Menk was named one of The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan in 2013, 2014 and 2017.

Menk was born on 27 June 1975 in Salisbury to Gujarati Indian parents from the Bharuchi Vohra Patel community, being son of Maulana Musa Ibrahim Menk, a Muslim preacher in Zimbabwe. Mufti Menk is able to speak Gujarati and Urdu[16] due to his parents being migrants from India, as common with the Bharachi Vohra community where he undertook his initial studies with his father, Moulana Musa, memorizing the Quran and learning Arabic. He went to St. John's College (Harare) for senior school. He then completed his religious education and Mufti course from Kantharia Darul Uloom located in Gujarat, India
