Many learner drivers worry as soon as they hear the words spiral roundabout, mainly because they don't understand them. Spiral roundabouts are easier than normal roundabouts, if and only if. you select the collect lane. On a normal roundabout, let us imagine that you want to turn right, you would take the right-hand lane, on approach and throughout the roundabout. When it is time to take your exit, you need to change lanes to leave the roundabout. You have to change lanes because the exit will always be to your left. Occasionally, you may get another vehicle on your side, Then you have the added problem of deciding, do I accelerate and get in front of that driver, do I slow down and let them go, or do you have to go all the way around the roundabout again!


On a spiral roundabout, once you have selected the correct lane, often you remain in that lane throughout the roundabout. The lane will simply spiral out to your exit.
