Jessica Walsh, MD, MBA, MSCI University of Utah School of Medicine, and Alexis Ogdie, MD, MSCE, Rheumatologist and Epidemiologist at University of Pennsylvania.

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an inflammatory type of arthritis that affects the joints but also the skin. It may cause itchy and scaly patches on the skin called psoriasis. Diagnosis of this condition may include a thorough examination of your skin, nails, joints and other symptoms. PsA falls under a type of arthritis called spondyloarthritis (SpA) which is different from other types of arthritis. During this educational webinar, Dr. Ogdie and Dr. Walsh will explain what PsA is, along with the broader concept of spondyloarthritis (SpA) and how PsA fits into the spectrum of diseases called spondyloarthritis (SpA), how it is diagnosed, and who it affects. Our speakers today will also provide an overview of other conditions associated with psoriatic arthritis. The webinar will review current treatment options and highlight new areas of research in PsA along with the goals of treatment.
