‘Sometimes’ is the third single from Ash’s number 1 album ‘Free All Angels’ following ‘Shining Light’ and ‘Burn Baby Burn’. Like most of the other tracks from the album ‘Sometimes’ was written when the band had six months off following the ‘Nu-clear Sounds’ world tour reconvening at Tim’s folks’ house, playing and creating songs in the same garage where it all began in 1992.

As with ‘Burn Baby Burn’ the video was directed by Jeff Thomas. The video was shot in Cuba with Cuban model Arianne playing the love interest. During filming a roof collapsed and several crew members were taken to hospital with minor bumps and bruises. Frontman Tim Wheeler narrowly avoided injury, but nevertheless ‘Sometimes’ became the second Ash video to require a trip to the hospital, following drummer Rick McMurray’s illness during the recording of the ‘A Life Less Ordinary’ video.
