DIY Slide Out Keyboard shelf (How To Build A Keyboard Slide Out Tray)
In this video I show you how you can build your own DIY Slide Out Keyboard Tray for cheap.

Since uploading my video showing my IKEA Desk Hack, I've been asked so many times where I got my slide out tray for my Keyboard. I actually built it myself, and you can too.

Make sure when you choose the shelf/wood for your keyboard tray, that it is the correct size for your runners, otherwise you'll have overhang runners like mine :(

Slide out draw can be tailored to your own room aesthetics, simply by choosing the same colour shelf, or wood, to match the rest of your studio desk.

Below is a list of equipment you'll need to build your own DIY slide out keyboard tray.

Equipment:

Drill (To make pilot holes)

Screwdriver

Pencil

Measuring Tape

Batons (Optional)

Measurements for slide out tray:

Shelf:
Depth - 25mm
Length - 80cm

Keyboard:
Length - 78cm

Battons fixed to underside of desk, then runners fixed to Battons.

This gives me 90mm space for keyboard, and enough legroom.
