Joann Villeneuve shares some of her memories of her husband Gilles to mark the 40th anniversary of his death at Zolder on May 8, 1982.

The touching clip is taken from an upcoming documentary, Villeneuve Pironi, which explores the friendship, turned deadly rivalry between Ferrari F1 team-mates Villeneuve and Didier Pironi.

Two weeks before his death, Pironi had ignored team orders to overtake Villeneuve and win the San Marino Grand Prix and Villeneuve's fury at the act of treachery was still evident, two weeks later when was killed in a crash during qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.
