We had a customer call with a broken ring and pinion on Top Of The World Trail. So Shawn and I headed up there with Trailmater. Once we got to the vehicle we noticed what was left of the pinion was bound up in the diff. So we pulled the cover and loosened the main bolts to release it. Once we got it back on place we tack welded the outer pinion bearing onto the remaining piece of the pinion. Then we wrapped the front of the diff with a plastic bag and reinstalled the cover. We filled the diff with oil and drove it back down the mountain. Once at the trailhead we loaded it on the gooseneck with Trailmater and hauled them back to town. The next day Lilli and I went out on to Hells Revenge to help get a jeep out of the Hells Gate Obstacle. It had fell on its side and by the time they got vehicle stabalized oil had gotten into the intake and caused the engine to slightly hydrolock which killed the starter. They had one winch line holding the vehicle, so I backed down and hooked a strap up. After pulling the jeep to flat ground at the top of the obstacle, we picked it up and carried it off the trail and to the shop. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.
