Just had a paving company paid a large driveway and this was the outcome. Company said this is normal and I’m being unreasonable and that I made the holes in the driveway. Contractor says his co is Black Diamond but see invoice with CATS Paving. I did research on CATS and it’s LOADED with bad experiences just like mine.
I mentioned I’m paying another co to do an inspection and they tried to knock a $1000 off the price after saying I made the holes. I’m a forgiving and honest person but accusing me of sabotage to not pay him….cmon dude. Trying to take the money and run.
Bad unsealed and horribly crooked edges, multiple holes, no tar on existing asphalt to bond new topcoat, wrong drain pipes underneath not deep enough with no 2B stone and blacktop cracking above, many lines 1/2” high, dips and valleys everywhere from spinning out roller going back and forth in one area, ripped up yard, trash junk asphalt dumped on side of driveway, top coat 1/2” thick over old surface, multiple holes from too much diesel used, drain installed 1” above grade so is useless. Unbelievable. He’s had companies with horrific reviews with the same issues I’ve had Sealmasters Excavating and Paving, CATS Paving and now Black Diamond so watch out for who you hire and do a full google search on his full name, phone number and company name.
