Although the title was a bit of a clickbait, we are working on a real project with a client involving a real Cybertruck alongside a scale model. The objective is to capture the exact shape and size required for designing elements around this model, be it for architectural purposes or creating scale models. Our scanning adventure unfolds using the FreeScan Combo in laser mode to obtain a high-detail scan swiftly.

By fastening the model to a marked scanning surface, ensuring stability with some sticky tack, we kickstart the scanning process. The software's laser scan mode helps in capturing all intricate details, ensuring the data is well-captured and ready to be sent to the client's designer for further creative exploration.

As we dive deeper into the scanning session, we switch between single and multiple laser lines to capture various areas of the Cyber Truck, ensuring every nook and cranny is well-documented. The FreeScan Combo's ability to handle reflective surfaces and its flexibility in adjusting to various scanning angles makes it an exciting choice for serious and accurate 3D scanning projects.

After completing the scans, we move onto aligning the data, optimizing it, and finally generating a comprehensive point cloud. The alignment process demonstrates the preciseness and ease of handling the scanned data, preparing a ready-to-use model for design purposes.

Throughout the process, we also delve into some post-processing options, hinting at the possibilities of reverse engineering or preparing the scan for 3D printing. Our demonstration concludes with a stunning 1/24th scale Cyber Truck model, ready to aid our client's project further.
