Here I make an Awning for my Mini Camper using a $7 Harbor Freight Tarp. Cheap DIY project for instant shade. You can follow my lead on the poles and rope or you can use old tent poles. People have been known to use extendable paint poles etc. Rope can be clothes line or any suitable rope. The tarp reflects sunlight, is water and wind proof. It has grommets every 18" and so is easy to customize to any vehicle.
