The SR86, a SR20VE swapped Toyota 86, takes a turn from the circuit to instead compete in a local hill climb event, the Coronet Peak hill climb. Andre explains his experience around taking a car build and prepared for something completely different to such an event, with gearing and tyre temperatures being the 2 main aspects needing attention for future events of a similar nature.

Despite struggling to launch the car uphill with no handbrake when it was geared for rolling starts only, Andre and the SR86 managed to nab 1st in class and 5th overall which was better than anticipated. Also in attendance was ex-WRC driver Haydon Paddon and his Hyundai Kona rally car, which is also one of the fist EV rally cars to be built to this level so it's great to see it more and more often at events while the development process continues on it into 2022.
