Jean topped the charts as Best Actress, and Jean and Lynn as best pair in the We Love Soaps charts run out of New York. Orchestral composer Mark Blackledge wrote the music for this web TV series that his son Anton 'Buster' Blackledge directed.

The Doris Visits presenter Jean Heard starred as the character Doris. It was to give Buster directing experience and Mark and Stuart St Paul, who wrote much of it, funded it.

The end was to feature Francis and Rick from the rock band Status Quo as the two villains behind the nanobot-take-over-the-world daft plot. Sadly Rick became far more ill than he was in Fiji when we shot the movie BULA QUO for Universal Pictures. The last three episodes were never shot. However, we did do some funny cameo performances ...

Radio DJ James Whale turns up as a policeman
Nick Simons as the old jeweller, and nanobot buyer
The late and sadly missed child star, Ricky Beaumont played the old local councillor
Donna Flinn who had a number single as PussyFoot in Australia in the seventies plays Doris's mother-in-law
Derek Redmond comes in for a few episodes as the smuggler... or is he?
There are others, watch out.....

The web series Shades of Bad has been re-edited or hacked into the half-hour TV length. If we had made it for that, written it for that and done the music with 30 minutes in mind, it would be on a major channel.
The old short version web series has been taken down in favour of this new version.
